February News!

Greetings!

We have had a snowy February so far! Thankfully it hasn’t stopped any of our groups from coming. The groups have actually said the snow was a blessing and they were thankful it was here! We’ve been busy with all sorts of retreats; marriage, women’s, men’s, middle schoolers and individual. We are thankful for God’s presence here and how He touches the lives of those who come here.

- Upcoming Retreats -

Women’s Retreat

March 7th - 9th

We are looking forward to our upcoming Women’s Retreat with our guest speaker Heidi Graham. We are almost completely full for this retreat. We are praying that each woman who comes is encouraged, blessed, refreshed and grows closer to the Lord while they are here.

Truth Versus Culture Retreat

April 11th - 13th

We are delighted to announce our first parent and child retreat focusing on standing on God’s Word and truths about gender identity, regardless of the culture that we live in. Pastor Dax and Angelene Garlinghouse have a passion and heart to see children raised and nurtured in the Word of God. We have such a need for this as our culture is coming against God’s truth more and more. We are really excited about this retreat and firmly believe it is needed in this day and age. We hope you can join us or pass the word to someone who would benefit from coming!

- Project Happenings -

Everyone got involved in an overhaul of the Main Lodge attic. We sorted, cleaned, donated and organized. Our attic is well organized and has space to spare now!

PGE sent a tree crew out to trim limbs and clear away dead trees. Lessening the threats to our power staying on during wind and snow storms.

The tree crew did an excellent job! We were very impressed and thankful for the work they did. A blessing to the camp and we didn’t have to do it ourselves or provide the funding to make it happen.

Cayman and John have been working hard doing some remodeling to the Red House. They added lighting, painted the rooms and are in the process of putting in new flooring.

Crafting Retreat

The Crafting Retreat as always was a delight. What a great weekend filled with crafting and sprinkled with devotions, worship, prayer times, sharing and games. This time we set aside to work on crafts and fellowship as ladies is a treasured time; uplifting and encouraging.

Sweetheart Weekend

We had wonderful Sweetheart Weekend. Pastor Mike Shrock and his wife Rhonda were extraordinary at imparting the Word of God; on the subject of marriage and the relationship within it. Everyone walked away blessed and encouraged.

Saturday evening we had our Dynamic Duos banquet. Each couple dressed up as a dynamic duo, there was entertainment, games and each course of the banquet was a dynamic pairing of mouthwatering flavors and textures that delighted the taste buds.

Each table was themed and decorated according to a different couple; Boaz and Ruth, Clark Kent and Lois Lane, Jim and Elisabeth Elliot and Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet.

The weekend was a great mixture of diving into strengthening the core of your marriage while having fun and enjoying time with your spose. This truly was a wonderful and blessed weekend.

- Registrar Update-

I know many of you are probably wondering what is going on with the Registrar position at this time. My (Abigail’s) last day will be March 9th. We have had applications sent in for the Registrar position. Tim and Peter are interviewing and following up with all the applications. Thus far, no one has been hired yet. We are trusting and asking God to bring our new Registrar at the perfect time.
