About Personal Retreats
What You Need to Know About Personal Retreats at CRC
Personal retreats should be scheduled 1 week to 1 month in advance. (More) (Less)
Personal Retreats are offered on a donation basis. We do this so that no one will be prohibited from coming for lack of funds. (More) (Less)
Here's a useful list of items that will be helpful while you're on retreat at CRC
Bedding (all beds do have a clean fitted sheet on them)
Personal Toiletry Items (Shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste/toothbrush, contacts and solution, razor, nail clippers, feminine hygiene, blow dryer, curl iron- we do have toothbrush/toothpaste kits, deodorant, contact solution and pain meds available in the Lamppost for purchase, if you should forget)
Shower shoes (for walking to the shower house if staying in Hilltop or Cabins)
Sweatshirt/jacket (it does get chilly at night, even in summer)
Umbrella (depending on season)
Bible & Notebook/Pen
Camera (or phone)
Snacks (we do allow guests to bring their own snacks, especially if you have special dietary needs that we do not accommodate)
Dirty Laundry Bag
Cell phone/Charger (we do not have cell service at CRC, but if you are using your cell phone as an alarm clock or camera, make sure to put it in airplane mode, otherwise it will constantly search for a signal and drain your battery)
Sunscreen (depending on season)
Prescription medication and/or Epi Pen
Small First Aid Kit (CRC does have first aid kits available, but bringing pain relievers and band-aids for yourself, so that you can have them handy is always helpful. CRC will not give medications to children).
There are three basic options for your stay: rustic solitude, close-in & comfortable and community. Please bring your own bedding, towels and personal toiletries for all three options. (More) (Less)
In this category are our two Cabins. Each cabin has three beds. The Matthew/Mark cabin is a duplex with two single rooms and separate entrances. The Luke cabin has two rooms, a bedroom and a living room with a couch and a wood stove. Each cabin has electric heat, beds, and a desk, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. Sinks, toilets and showers are located 50' away in the shower house. The cabins are especially popular with guests who are looking for maximum solitude.
Close-In & Comfortable
This describes the rooms Love and Goodness downstairs in the Main Lodge, with two beds each and the larger five-bed Trinity House Upstairs. Each of these rooms have in-suite bathrooms as well as a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot.
This describes the six two-bed rooms in the Hilltop Lodge. The three wings are semi-private, as they share the living area at the center of the Lodge. This has a built-in a wood fireplace, mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. Depending on the number of guests, you will have either a room or a wing to yourself. Each room is separated its adjoining room by a walk-through half-bath. Showers are available at the nearby shower house.
Lodging options are offered on a first come, first served basis. Priority is given to our sponsored events and guest group retreats. Some options or rooms may not be available on the dates you wish to come. Other rooms may be available. Ask our registrar for details.
While many of our guests choose to fast during their retreat, you are welcome to join the CRC staff and our guest group retreats for all regularly scheduled meals. For all other meals you will be on your own. (More) (Less)
